GORGEOUS Day at Bottle Beach!

Welcome to Bottle Beach. A gorgeously pristine beach on the north of Koh Phangan. It takes about an hour to get there and can only be accessed by boat. Nicolas and I met a couple from England who joined us for the day, Alex and Hannah, and ended up getting stranded and missing our thai boxing lessons because our taxi driver didn't show up on time.

The weather was absolutely perfect - 90 degrees, slight breeze, refreshing water and partially cloudy to keep us from scourching our poor tourist skin.

Later in the day I asked Nicolas to take a picture of me in the water, but he instead decided to take a video. Earlier I hinted that I might splash him and in his little french accent told me that "he does not like to be splashed" .. so in this video when he starts splashing me and I start talking funny, now you know it's my impression of his accent.

Here's a view from the boat.

You can only get to Bottle Beach by boat cause there are no roads that lead here. Maybe this is why it's still pristine and gorgeous and for the most part pretty quiet.

A random coconut basking in the sun was begging for it's picture to be taken. :)

Having fun with my new shades and hat.

We switched sun glasses. Very stylish, eh?

God I love this beach!

Here's the infamous Bottle Beach dance... only be done after enjoying a day there and only if you have a six pack from thai boxing like Nicolas. lol.

On the walk back to the boat I had a hard time dragging my little butt off the beach, so I procrastinated by taking a gazillion pictures before getting on the boat. We were supposed to stay until 3:15p in order to make it back to thai boxing in time... but there was a mix up with our taxi, so we ended up staying on a different beach until about 8p.

This is my favorite beach so far.... The water was a refreshing, but inviting 85 degrees and the sand so smooth. Do I sound like a walking advertisement or what??

Once we got on the boat to leave Nicolas grabbed my camera and has a step by step photo of me climbing on to the boat.. many of which were unflattering - this one is the least unflattering of the bunch.

Here's the Sheesha Bar that we hung out at after Bottle Beach. At first, I was totally against this smoking flavored tobacco thing, but it was such a cozy bar right on the water... how could I resist??

As much as I hate smoking, this wasn't like smoking at all. It actually felt healthy, which is complete nonsense..... it tasted like a smooth breath of mango oxygen or something.

After we all went to that flavored tobacco bar, we watched the sunset from a pier and then had a quick dinner before our taxi came to pick us up.

Here's Alex and Hannah relaxing and awaiting their dinner.
For some reason I was addicted to the boats off shore today, so there's a lot of those pictures.

And finally, once it got dark I saw this little boy playing in the water....if you look closely you can see him exiting the water.
